We pride ourselves on producing happy, healthy cattle. Born in 60 Days. Growth, docility, and maternal traits are the three things we value most in sire selection. We have Gateway Simmental, Fauth Simmental, and Prickly Pear Simmental bulls. The Sim and SimXAngus bulls we buy from these breeders provide excellent growth and produce calves with a lot of depth. Few Nipped ears, none greater than 50% Froze off. Cows are fed home raised grass/alfalfa hay and supplemented with home raised whole oats in the winter months. Then cows and calves graze native grass in mountain pastures starting late spring, summer and fall. Animals are all provided with free choice ADM AMP-T mineral and American Stockman Iodized Salt year round. We do not use implants because as we work to expand our herd, we value knowing what each cow produces on her own without added hormones. This helps us make better decisions about our mother cows and our overall program.
